Chit Chat - Conversation Course
Course Overview
Chit Chat is a practical conversation program designed for learners starting from an intermediate B1 level.
The course is designed to develop speaking fluency, confidence, vocabulary range, and the ability to communicate naturally in real-life situations.
Course Plan & Methodology
The course follows a topic-based approach. Each stage focuses on a complete real-life topic, such as:
- Family and relationships
- Job interviews
- Shopping
- Travel
- Ordering food and restaurants
- Work and everyday life
- A wide variety of other real-life situations
For each topic, students work on:
- Topic-based vocabulary
- Essential words, expressions, and collocations
- Upgrading basic vocabulary and sentences to more advanced alternatives
- Advanced questions related to the topic
- Discussions and debates
- Role plays
- Real-life simulations
- Practical speaking activities
Students practise each topic extensively before moving on to the next one.
Practice Beyond the Session
Speaking practice does not end when the session finishes.
Students receive regular tasks throughout the week, including:
- Speaking assignments
- Listening assignments
- Practical communication tasks
The objective is to help learners experience English as a language they actively use throughout the week rather than a subject they only study during class.
Detailed Feedback
Students receive detailed feedback covering:
- Speaking mistakes
- Corrected versions
- Explanations of why the mistakes occurred
- Guidance on how to avoid repeating them
